MISSION STATEMENT
"Driven by a passion for horses, the UC Davis Equestrian Center is a learning community that inspires self-confidence, stewardship, leadership and friendship through teaching, working and serving in a responsible and professional manner."

ABOUT THE EQUESTRIAN CENTER
People come to the UC Davis Equestrian Center because they love horses.  Some of them want to learn how to ride, others want to improve their riding skills by enrolling in more advanced classes.  Many students are drawn to the Center because they want practical experience related to majors like animal science, veterinary medicine, education, or business management.  Whatever their motivation, our students are inspired to follow their dreams.  They make new friends, develop their skills, and grow more poised and confident.

The student staff at the Equestrian Center makes the difference.  They teach English and western riding lessons, serve as Barn Supervisors, feed the horses twice daily, clean stalls, mow and water the fields, weed and maintain the riding arenas, repair broken water pipes and fences, administer horse care treatments, assist in scheduling lessons, teach summer camp, lead trail tours and assist the farrier.  The Center provides valuable experience for students interested in horse care and stable management. Call us at 530. 752.2372 for more information on how you can be a part of the Equestrian Center program.
